This approach regards the planning of a project up front as crucial and the project plan forms the centre of the project – all activities undertaken must be on the plan – if they aren’t they must be brought into the plan via a formal Change Control process.

The approach also emphasises the need for regular progress reporting, ensuring the business is always aware of progress on the project and has the right information available for making decisions.
