Projects
go wrong all the time.
Whilst best-practice knowledge and the basic principles of project
management are readily available to us, [just google "project
management" and see for yourself] … corporate projects go wrong
all the time. For all the same reasons. Even with the finest Project
Management software.
They go wrong because, in organisations due to lack of resources,
it's very often the line managers who are tasked with the implementation
of projects. On the surface this makes perfect sense. After all, it’s
the line manager who best understands the operational factors under
which the project must deliver.
But… herein lies a crucial problem. |

A
new skill-set is required.
To succeed, the project manager requires a complete new set of disciplines,
a new skill-set… even a different personality type. Without these
the project is set up for failure; cost and budget overruns, content
deficiencies. And it's not something you can read up in a book.
Project management knowledge goes hand-in-hand with experience.
It makes sense then to entrust your project to a team who has the
experience, the knowledge and the track
record to run your project and deliver the desired strategic
value to your organisation.
